Shell Gadus Rail S4 EUDB is based on synthetic (PAO) base oils and a lithium complex thickener.
The specially selected additives ensure superior mechanical stability, excellent low-temperature performance, as well as excellent wear and corrosion protection and exceptional resistance to water wash-out.
Shell Gadus Rail S4 EUDB is designed for extreme conditions and long service life due to its high oxidation and thermal stability.
Main areas of application
Shell Gadus Rail S4 EUDB is used in rail vehicles such as freight cars, passenger cars and railcars, especially in applications requiring extremely long operating intervals and low rolling resistance.
It is specially manufactured to meet the demanding specifications of European railways, including Deutsche Bahn, and their suppliers.
Shell Gadus Rail S4 EUDB fulfils the European grease specification EN 12081 Class A and B for railway axle bearings.
