Castrol Alphasyn™ T 150 is a synthetic gear and hydraulic lubricant (ISO VG 150) based on polyalphaolefin (PAO) fluids and sulphur/phosphorus anti-wear additive technology, providing outstanding thermal stability and good load carrying capacity.
- Pack size: 208 L drum
- Also available in: 20 L canister
Applications
- Suitable for most types of light to medium duty enclosed gear systems (should not be used for heavy or shock loaded systems)
- Suitable for the lubrication of bearings and circulatory systems operating at high temperatures
- Suitable for high-temperature applications, e.g. hydraulic systems and the lubrication of large, slow moving gears
- Very low pour points and excellent viscosity/temperature characteristics allow use in both low and high temperature applications
- Fully compatible with nitrile, silicone and fluropolymer seal materials
Specifications & Approvals
- DIN Classification: CL
- DIN 51517 Part 2
- David Brown Type A
Characteristics
- Good thermal and oxidative stability provides reliable operation and extended operating life when compared to mineral oil based products
- The inherently high viscosity index (VI) makes the product suitable for operation over a wide temperature range
- Good anti-wear and load carrying abilities minimise gear wear and prolong gear tooth life
- Good water separation and demulsification characteristics help reduce downtime through prolonged lubricant life and increased equipment reliability
- PAO base fluid provides good compatibility with seals, paints and mineral oil based lubricants
