Castrol Alphasyn™ T 46 is a synthetic gear oil (ISO VG 46) based on polyalphaolefin (PAO) fluids and sulphur/phosphorus anti-wear additive technology, providing outstanding thermal stability and good load carrying capacity.

Applications
- Light to medium duty enclosed gear systems (not suitable for heavy or shock loaded systems)
- Bearings and circulatory systems operating at high temperatures
- High-temperature applications where lubricating oil is used, e.g. from hydraulic systems through to large, slow moving gears
- Suitable for both low and high temperature applications due to very low pour points and excellent viscosity/temperature characteristics
- Fully compatible with nitrile, silicone and fluropolymer seal materials

Storage
