MOTOREX COOL-PROTECT CONCENTRATE is a water-miscible coolant concentrate for closed-loop motor spindle cooling systems and other temperature-sensitive applications. Its balanced additive technology helps protect the metals, plastics and sealing materials used in the cooling circuit against corrosion, cavitation damage and deposit formation.
- Pack size: 20 L canister
- Also available in: 5 L canister, 200 L drum
- Note: Mix with clean drinking water before use.
- Recommended standard mixture: 25 % concentrate
- In-use concentration: 25–30 %
Applications
- Closed-loop motor spindle cooling systems in machine tools
- Cooling circuits for tool and motor spindles
- Other temperature-sensitive applications with closed cooling circuits
Features
- Helps prevent electrochemical corrosion
- Protects aluminium, ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Helps protect plastics and sealing materials in the closed cooling circuit
- Protection against cavitation damage and deposit formation
- Stable thermal conductivity for efficient heat dissipation
- Helps maintain a constant spindle temperature
- Low-maintenance and designed for long-term use
- When correctly mixed and used under optimal conditions, the coolant can remain in the system for up to 2 years
Mixing & Operation
- Mixing: Mix the concentrate with clean drinking water in a clean mixing container.
- Standard mixture: Prepare a mixture containing 25 % COOL-PROTECT CONCENTRATE when changing the coolant.
- Water quality: water hardness max. 20 °dH, chlorides max. 100 ppm, sulphates max. 100 ppm.
- Concentration check: use a refractometer – reading × factor = effective concentration.
- Routine checks: check pH and concentration monthly.
- Topping up: compensate evaporation losses with mixed coolant or ready-mixed coolant. If the concentration reaches the upper limit, adjust it back to the reference value with clean drinking water.

Commissioning & Maintenance
- Initial commissioning: fill the circuit with drinking water, circulate for at least 10 minutes and then drain completely.
- Routine checks: check pH and concentration monthly; observe the refractometer factor.
- Topping up: compensate evaporation losses with mixed coolant or ready-mixed coolant.
- Concentration adjustment: if frequent topping up increases the concentration to the upper limit, adjust it back to the reference value with clean drinking water.
- Coolant change: prepare a mixture containing 25 % COOL-PROTECT CONCENTRATE in a clean container and immediately fill the prepared cooling system.
