DuPont Tychem 6000 Chemical Barrier Tape 50mm x 50m

DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 Tape is a yellow chemical barrier tape for use with Category III Tychem®, Tyvek® or ProShield® chemical protective garments.

Applications

• Additional sealing of interfaces on Category III chemical protective garments
• Connection between gloves and Tychem®, Tyvek® or ProShield® protective garments
• Taping hoods to masks
• Taping leg ends to boots
• Securing zipper flaps and other PPE interfaces
• Suitable for emergency response, chemical spill clean-up, petrochemical tasks, maintenance work and laboratory environments

Technical Data

Application Notes

• When applying the tape, make sure that no creases appear in the fabric or tape, as these may act as channels.
• When taping the hood to a mask, use small overlapping pieces of approx. 10 cm.
• The tape is primarily intended to hold PPE components in place and to help reduce material flow at interfaces.
• Taping does not provide a reliable barrier against liquids, vapours or gases.
• Do not use the tape if it is damaged.
• Storage: 15 °C to 25 °C, in the dark, without UV exposure and in the original packaging.
• This tape is not flame resistant and must not be used around heat, open flame, sparks or in potentially flammable environments.
• This tape does not protect against ionising or radioactive radiation.
