Elring Dirko HT red is a high-temperature resistant, acetoxy-curing silicone sealant (RTV-1) for reliable sealing of engine, transmission and auxiliary housings as well as flanges, covers and housing components.

Good adhesion to common metals, cast iron, plastics (except PE, PP, PTFE) and glass
Sealing of engine and gearbox housings
Flanges, covers and housings in automotive and mechanical engineering (e.g. valve cover, oil pan, water/oil pump, differential housing, gearbox housing, transmission oil pan, thermostat housing, timing cover, axle cover, flange joints)

Instructions for use

Remove old sealant residues and clean sealing surfaces with solvent.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease.
Application temperature (ambient/substrate): +5 to +35 °C.
Apply evenly; remove excess immediately.
As required, assemble parts immediately, after skin formation or after curing; tighten to manufacturer specs.
Sealing effect is immediate. Reseal packaging after use.
