TIKKURILA - VALTTI Opaque base VC - Semi-matt opaque wood stain 9L
As a top coat, VALTI OPAQUE is particularly suitable for previously painted wooden surfaces with alkyd paints or stains that need a new coat of paint. Recommended for heat-treated wood.
AREAS OF APPLICATION: For all outdoor wood, wooden exterior walls, doors, log cabins, fences, windows, gables, garden furniture

Note: The desired color tone can only be achieved after thorough drying.
Gloss level. 4 - semi-matt
Preparation:
The surface must be clean, dry, free of grease and dirt. Use MOULD REMOVAL or TEHOPESU to clean the surface. Repair knots and resin areas with Tikkurila knot varnish. Repair cracks, nail holes, defects, etc. and uneven surfaces with a suitable Tikkurila sealant. Make sure that all glossy, previously stained and sealed surfaces are thoroughly sanded. Determine whether the entire painted surface is ready for priming and subsequent painting.
Make sure that the wood paneling, underlay, window frames, etc. are bonded with the anti-corrosive material.
Note: At transitions caused by knots and resin areas on the wood, visible discoloration of the paint in light shades may occur. Wood species such as oak, teak, Douglas fir, mahogany, idigbo may experience prolonged drying, hardening or poorer covering, as these wood species contain increased amounts of oil and bitter substances.
The painted surface must be dry and frost-free, wood moisture max. 20%, outside temperature should not be less than +50C. Air humidity should not exceed 80%.
Mixing ratio: If necessary, mix with 10% water
Painting: By brush or spray.
Polyester and nylon brushes are best for painting VALTI OPAQUE. For airless spray: use a tip of 0.0018˝–0.023˝
Drying: At 23°C and 50% humidity
Usually after one hour and recoatable after 2 hours.
