Application Notes

• Confirm that the thread designation M27 x 3.0 matches the hole to be threaded.
• Prepare the core hole with the correct diameter and a clean entry chamfer.
• Use a suitable tap wrench to keep the tool centred and aligned with the hole axis.
• Apply cutting fluid suitable for the workpiece material.
• Use the 3-piece tap sequence correctly: rougher, intermediate and finisher.
• Withdraw periodically to break and clear chips from the flutes.
• After machining, clean the thread and tool, then check the finished thread fit.
