What is to be considered?

In contrast to Ice Breaker defrosting granules, Ice Breaker liquid de-icer does not release any heat when it comes into contact with ice and snow.
In general, thawing agents are not recommended for thawing thick layers of snow, as the required amount is very large and the thawing process only takes place with a delay in the absence of sufficient moisture or contact with the mass of snow. In loose snow, for example, the Ice Breaker liquid de-icer runs through the snow layer without visibly defrosting large quantities. The thawing effect begins below the snow and thaws it from below. If the snow layer does not sag or if the powder snow is particularly dry, the de-icing agent does not reach all the snow layers and the thawing process is delayed and even comes to a standstill.
